ABOUT
Gail Wallinga is a queer artist living with disability. She was born and raised in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota and has always been a maker. Even as a child she was enamored with color, pattern, texture and materials. She makes art as a method of introspection, a map of her emotional landscape and a connection to all that unites us.
She received a BA in Psychology from the University of Montana and a BFA in Graphic Design from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Her education and long career in graphic design influences her artwork with a foundation of design principles. Gail has exhibited regionally and her work is in many private collections. She currently makes visual art in her Minneapolis studio.
